As you are most likely aware of, due to increased cases of swine flue in the world, parents and educators alike do have some concerns and feel that serious and consistent measures should be taken to protect our school children. In view of the above, we at PPS have established the following preventive procedures for the beginning of the academic year:

• Until further notice, the PPS health specialist assisted by PPS staff will screen all learners and staff at beginning of every school day for swine flu symptoms as publicized by WHO.
• Until further notice, the health specialist will send back home any learner and members of staff with high temperature or with any flu symptoms even if they are not typical of swine flu.
• Strict hygienic measures will be applied across the school with a poster/lecture campaign to maximize awareness of symptoms and highlight the basics of personal hygiene.
